I’m sure you’ve heard all the horror stories of homeowners still cleaning dust up weeks after they had their floors sanded. This is a huge problem that has plagued the hardwood floor refinishing industry for decades.
Imagine having your floors beautifully refinished only to find out the blinds and drapes, the light fixtures, the kitchen cupboards and everything in them, the bathroom, all the walls and the ducting - actually pretty much everything in your home is covered in a film of fine dust.
It’s not much fun cleaning a mess like that up!
Thankfully in the last few years there have been great advances made in the dust containment field and we’ve been eagerly keeping up with them.
We spent a year and a half researching and trying out almost every system out there. We initially invested in 2 systems that seemed very promising, but despite our efforts to tinker with them and adapt them, they still didn’t satisfy our desire to be truly dust free.
Our continuing search eventually led us into the concrete industry where they’ve been working on dust containment solutions for years. This is where we finally found the perfect solution for our (and your) needs.
We invested in the most powerful and effective portable dustless system available.
It uses a powerful 3 motor (340 CFM vacuum with 95” of water lift for those that like the technical details) teamed up with highly efficient cyclones to catch the dust at the source and then feed it into a big sealed drum.
All of our sanding equipment is retrofitted with suction/cyclone devices
and skirts to allow virtually no dust to become airborne.
If you’ve ever seen a floor being sanded the old way with only cloth bags attached to the machines, you’ll be blown away by how effective our system is. It really sucks... but in a good vacuum way. We absolutely love it! We’re sure you will too.
One of the nice things about our system is that it is completely portable. We can set it up in your kitchen, on your front or back porch or anywhere else because of its small footprint. This means if it’s raining or snowing outside, you don’t have to worry about having muddy, wet hoses being dragged through your home, which can be a problem with the trailer mounted systems that need to run hoses from the curb or driveway.
Another benefit, apart from having absolutely no clean-up to worry about, is that you get a far superior finished product. As there is no airborne dust floating around, you won’t have as much contamination in the final finish coats like you get by using the standard cloth bag system.
